Friendship

Friendship (Wikipedia- not a reliable source, but who cares, im just blogging)

“Friendship is the cooperative and supportive relationship between two or more people. In this sense, the term connotes a relationship which involves mutual knowledge, esteem, affection, and respect along with a degree of rendering service to friends in times of need or crisis. Friends will welcome each other’s company and exhibit loyalty towards each other.”

Its true right. To a certain extend.

But theres also a part of friendship that is not stated, more of the like the distortion of friendship.

This distortion happens when stabbing in the back happens, or just plainly being ignored- a sudden lost of loyalty.

How can friendship loose its loyalty? Why do people just leave you, and you having no clue what is going on?

Why do people backstab each other just to get back at a mistake? Or have payback sessions?

Why is friendship sometimes a competition? why do friends compete to get more friends?

And can one love the other after the loyalty goes missing?

I know someone who can, someone i know, someone who people write songs about, someone who wont leave you behind.

I was on the bus this morning, just thinking about my week. Not too good relational wise. I was being treated unfairly, was being ignored, and have no clue whats the persons problem. Then God spoke.

He said that was how people treated Him. They ignore Him. They dont respond to his constant call. And He hurt alot. But He still forgave. Cause He still loves.

When God said so, i was listening to a song on my MP3 which was a song most of the time i would skip pass. The song is called “He aint the leaving kind” by Rascal Flatts.

When God so called finished revealing the revelation above, the song went to the chorus. Which i suddenly notice, was talking about God. Wow.

First God tells me how people treats Him, now He tells me how He is as a friend.

Aint that a revelation?!

I thank God He’s my friend! No doubt the best ever!

Even good friends, the most trusted, most loyal one can turn around, but God wont.

I’ll leave you with the lyrics of the song. Read it, and you’ll see what i mean.

“He Ain’t The Leavin’ Kind”

They tried their best to drag him out
Of a courthouse down in montgomery
Now they want to kick him out of school
And take him off our money
They can take those words off of paper and stone
But he aint gone, no

He ain’t the leavin’ kind
He’d never walk away
Even from those who dont believe
And wanna leave him behind
He ain’t the leavin’ kind

She stayed mad at him for a lot of years
For taking her husband
Started losing her faith and thinking that
Her life meant nothin
But when she looks at those kids
She raised all by herself
She knows she had some help
Yeah she knows

He ain’t the leavin’ kind
He’d never walk away
Even from those who don’t believe
And wanna leave him behind
He ain’t the leavin’ kind

No matter what you do
No matter where you go he’s
Always right there
With you

Even from those who don’t believe
And wanna leave him behind
He ain’t the leavin’ kind
